Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington Hosts Nigel Travis

Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington will host Nigel Travis, Executive Chairman and former CEO of Dunkin’ Brands for an event to celebrate the launch of his first book, THE CHALLENGE CULTURE: Why the Most Successful Organizations Run on Pushback. 

 

In the book, Nigel Travis shows how questioning, pushback, challenge, and debate across disciplines, will allow you to stay relevant and sustain a results-oriented organization. We live in a world where the move from success to failure can happen in a flash. Customers, competition, changing societal mores, and technology can bring on existential crisis. Nigel Travis served as Chief Executive Officer of Dunkin' Brands from 2009 through July 1018, when he was appointed Executive Chairman of the Board for Dunkin’ Brands. In 2017, he became the owner of Leyton Orient Football, a troubled professional soccer team that presents a unique opportunity to implement his challenge culture strategy. Prior to joining Dunkin’ Brands, Travis spent twenty-two years working in human resources, he served as President and COO at Blockbuster, and President and CEO at Papa John’s.
