As part of their commitment to champion diversity, health equity, and inclusion, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association have partnered to host a series of webinars to encourage dialogue and share best practices. The webinar series will address creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, leadership and accountability, pipeline advancement programs, and moving data into action around health equity. Learning Objectives
  1. Review ways to provide leaders with the continued investment, resources, tools, and support required for embedding inclusive leadership practices into their daily work.
  2. Identify approaches to build accountability at the organizational and leadership level.

Ildemaro Gonzalez, Vice President and Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer
 
Ildemaro Gonzalez joined DFCI in 2019. He is a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) leader with 20 years of experience and a successful track record designing and implementing innovative D&I strategies. In a domestic and global context, he works to align D&I with the strategic priorities of the organization to affect all aspects of the operation, including both employee and patient experience.
 
Ildemaro has served previously as the Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer at Parkland Health and Hospital System; the Global Director of Inclusion and Philanthropy at Newell Rubbermaid; and the Managing Director, Diversity Strategy at the American Cancer Society - National Home Office.
 
Ildemaro galvanized executives and board members around a common vision: leveraged partnerships with operational leaders for long-term adoption of new D&I initiatives, and engaged employees in driving diversity, inclusion, and engagement outcomes.
 
He earned an MBA from the J. Mack Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, in Caracas, Venezuela.
