Kings Dining & Entertainment Holds Fundraiser for Local Causes

Kings Dining & Entertainment recently hosted a joint fundraiser in support of long-time Burlington resident Dottie Yeadon and the Adopt-A-Class program, where 100 percent of proceeds were split equally between the two causes. The event was held in Kings’ brand-new “1Up Retrocade”, an entertainment center filled with more than 50 retro arcade games, such as Pac-Man, Pinball and Mortal Kombat.
 
Yeadon was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. This fundraiser is one of many fundraising efforts that have been implemented since her diagnosis. Students and families who have been impacted by Yeadon began a campaign called “Dottie Strong”, selling t-shirts, bumper stickers, bracelets, and more. Yeadon has been an integral and adored part of the Burlington school community, committing much of her life to local children as their bus driver and supporter in their after-school activities. During the fundraiser, she received a Citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives, recognizing her for “22 years of service as the most beloved bus driver in the Town of Burlington.” She was also named Citizen of the Year at the Town of Burlington’s 2018 Fourth of July Parade.
 
Kings has a history of giving back to the communities they reside in, and they take pride in their support of local-nonprofit organizations. Doug Warner, Kings Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, says he can “genuinely say that the Burlington community is beyond special and has welcomed our business and out people from day one… It’s very rewarding for our team to be able to listen to the community’s needs and do our part to give back.”
